Years at the Forge

From Boy Scout campfire carving in Brazil to Forged in Fire Champion — Ricardo Vilar's path was forged by obsession, precision, and fire.

Master Bladesmith. Judge. Teacher. Pioneer. Ricardo Vilar didn't just enter the knife world — he redefined what a craftsman from South America could achieve at the highest levels of American bladesmithing. Recognized and nominated by the Historic City of Washington, Arkansas as their Master Bladesmith, Ricardo has spent over 30 years at the forge designing, building, and finishing every blade himself — no production lines, no shortcuts.
